Sanity Snack: Green Chef, My Back-to-School MVP

Welcome to Sanity Snacks: quick, snack-sized posts for busy moms with full plates.

Fall hits and suddenly the mental load triples. Between teaching, homework, activities, and meltdowns, my brain is constantly buzzing with questions:

What’s for dinner? Do we even have groceries? Do I need to stop at the store after work? How long do I have to cook before bedtime chaos kicks in? Will the kids eat it? Will there be enough for leftovers?

Green Chef has taken every single one of those questions off my plate. We get three meals a week, and honestly? It’s been 1000% worth it in this season of life. Yes, it’s a stretch for our budget, but the peace of mind is invaluable. The meals are organic, quick, delicious, always give us leftovers, and (most of the time) the kids like them too. And if they don’t? There’s always a side like rice that I know they’ll eat.

What I also love is the exposure. Green Chef brings flavors and recipes I’d never think to make on my own. Even if my kids don’t eat it all, they see it, they smell it, they taste a bite… and that matters. Exposure is everything. It took months of seeing meat sticks before my kids touched one, and now they ask for them. Just like working out takes months to see results, so does raising good eaters.

Sure, they still eat plenty of mac and cheese and chicken fingers, but we’re playing the long game: teaching boundaries, riding out the whining, and making sure their growing brains and bodies get what they need. It’s hard work. But it’s worth it.

And right now? Green Chef is making it just a little bit easier. Click the link to try some FREE meals for yourself!

Let’s not lose our minds together,

Tori
